About Donna Papacosta

Donna Papacosta of Trafalgar Communications, based in the Toronto area, works with clients all over the world, helping them to communicate with employees, customers and prospects. A former systems analyst and magazine journalist, Donna has combined her love of communications and technology into a thriving independent practice since 1985. Her roster of clients includes major manufacturers, leading organizations in healthcare and information technology, nonprofits, universities, government agencies, small- to mid-sized businesses and more.

In 2005 Donna launched the Trafcom News Podcast, one of the first business-related podcasts in Canada. Since then she has expanded her expertise in both social media and multimedia, and helps clients integrate these tools into their communications plans.

Today she writes, produces multimedia content, consults, speaks and runs workshops and Web-based seminars. Since the mid 1990s Donna has been designing and delivering training in various business-communications topics. Participants rate her highly for her ability to share knowledge in a fresh and energetic way. She is often invited to present at conferences on subjects related to communications, multimedia and social media. Donna is an active member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and chairs the IABC/Toronto chapter Professional Independent Communicators group. In addition, she is a member and past-president of the Halton-Peel Communications Association.

A dual U.S.-Canadian citizen, Donna holds a Masters degree in Public Administration from New York University and a Certificate in Magazine Journalism from Ryerson University.

In her leisure time, Donna enjoys photography, working out at her local Y, relaxing on the shores of Lake Ontario, and keeping up with her daughters on Facebook.
